Darius was thorough and tried to think of how to isolate my problem, which she did after testing out a few options. I was very happy with my service.
Vincent replace our water heater with a tankless one. He is a extremely polite gentleman and explained all things very well. He work long and hard and did a couple extra jobs while here. I would not hesitate to ask for him for anything else needed. Thank You Vincent
We had a live downed power line for about 10 days after a storm on July 4th. Very concerning with pets and children in our neighborhood but couldn’t find anyone to help us including the power company.
Called Haller. Jason showed up the same day, reattached the downed line to our house, and provided a temporary hook up. The following day Haller coordinated with the power company to complete the job.
More expensive than an estimate we had in hand but have to give them credit for showing up and helping us out. Thanks.
Shane has been here a few times and is always pleasant and professional.

Had our power lines to the house taken down during a big storm, the folks at Haller were great at getting out quickly to check out the damage and give us an estimate to repair. We put a down-payment down to reserve service, ended up not needing them, and they promptly refunded our payment with zero fuss. Good experience, I recommend them

Excellent experience with Shane Keifer on water heater installation. In addition a shout out to Amanda for helping get us booked in a very timely and friendly manner.
Christopher is wonderful and came out quickly . He is very professional and friendly. He took care of my central air and resealed the unit in the house. Closed the vents that are not being used to keep the cold air where I needed it. I would ask for Christoper the next time I had an issue.
Haller is best.
The technician, Adam, was excellent. He explained what the problems were, and showed me the problems on my outdoor fan. He was very patient and polite. I am hard of hearing, so he spoke louder. He fixed everything, and thought of solutions that had not been mentioned to me before – like using a 2" filter instead of a 1" filter to possibly cut down on filter changes (since I cannot change them myself). He also explained how the $24/month plan worked, and set me up for that when I decided to go with it. He answered all my questions. Adam is an excellent Haller employee.

Common Water Heater Repairs We Handle

Fast, accurate water heater repairs restore comfort and prevent further damage.

Haller’s experienced technicians diagnose issues quickly and deliver lasting solutions for both tank and tankless systems.

A lack of hot water is often caused by a faulty heating element, a gas burner issue, or an electrical problem. Our technicians pinpoint the cause and restore reliable hot water as quickly as possible.

If your water keeps turning hot and cold, sediment buildup or a failing thermostat may be to blame. We’ll inspect the system and make the necessary adjustments or replacements to stabilize performance.

Water pooling around your heater can indicate a loose connection, failing valve, or internal tank issue. We identify the source of the leak and recommend the most effective repair to protect your home.

Popping, rumbling, or banging sounds are often signs of sediment buildup inside the tank. Our team can flush the system and address any underlying issues to improve efficiency and reduce wear.

Rusty or foul-smelling hot water may point to corrosion inside the tank or a failing anode rod. We’ll assess the condition of your system and perform the repairs needed to restore clean, clear hot water.

The anode rod inside a tank water heater sacrifices itself to prevent corrosion of the tank walls. When it depletes, the tank itself begins to corrode from the inside. We inspect the anode rod condition and replace it before corrosion progresses to the point where the tank itself requires replacement.

Should You Repair or Replace Your Water Heater?

Knowing when to repair versus replace your water heater can save you from a costly mistake in either direction.

Haller gives homeowners an honest assessment based on the actual condition of the unit, not a preference for one outcome over the other.

Tank water heaters last 8 to 12 years. Tankless units last 15 to 20 years with proper maintenance. A unit well within that range with an isolated failure is worth repairing. One approaching or past it that requires a significant repair is usually a better candidate for replacement.

A repair that costs more than half the price of a comparable new unit rarely makes financial sense, particularly when the existing unit is aging. Our technicians will give you both numbers so you can make the decision with the full picture in front of you.

Discolored hot water or visible rust at the drain valve often indicates corrosion inside the tank. Internal tank corrosion is not repairable. Once the tank wall has been compromised, replacement is the only option that restores safe, reliable hot water.

One repair is normal. A unit that requires service multiple times within a short span has components wearing out together, which is a pattern that points toward replacement rather than continued repair.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my water heater needs repair or replacement?

If your system is less than 10 years old and the issue is isolated, a repair is usually the right move. But if you’re dealing with frequent breakdowns, visible rust, or an aging tank, replacement is often the more cost-effective call. We’ll give you an honest assessment either way.

How long does a water heater typically last?

Traditional tank water heaters usually last 8–12 years. Tankless systems can run 15–20 years with proper maintenance. Either way, regular service extends the life of the unit.

Do you offer emergency water heater repair?

Yes. Haller offers 24/7 emergency services for urgent water heater problems. If you’ve lost hot water or have a leaking unit, call us and we’ll respond quickly.

What types of water heaters do you repair?

We repair all major brands and models of tank and tankless water heaters, including gas and electric systems. Whatever you have, we can fix it.

Is water heater maintenance really necessary?

Yes. Routine maintenance prevents sediment buildup, improves efficiency, and catches small problems before they become expensive ones. It also helps extend the life of your system.
