Thor was amazing. Knew what he was doing, solved our issues, and provided great advice.
HALLER is always the best. Prompt, courteous and great communicators. Even better, they are knowledgeable and skilled. I have used them for 20+ years and their great service has continued.
Jason was at my house for two separate projects and did very thorough work both times. Will definitely have him out for future projects!
Regular winter service for furnace. Pleased with courteous, quick service.
Worked on my heat pump for the central air and stood until the airflow was right
Haller Enterprises has been fantastic. I switched to them recently because we continued to have issues even after my last provider came here and invoiced us a number of times

There were so many things that Haller uncovered that my last provider really should have done and shouldโ€™ve been done. I had also given my former provider a five star review, but this teaches me a lesson.
Sometimes you really think you know whatโ€™s good just because people give you quick service but it doesnโ€™t always mean theyโ€™re gonna solve your problem.

Haller is quick, very professional and very detailed about what my problems are and what was not done in my home but should have been

I guess you donโ€™t know whatโ€™s good until you receive better
And just to visits, my gut tells me that these guys really deserve six stars or more
Great customer service and honest recommendations!! Very helpful!
I want to Thank Thor again for his excellent work on taking care of several electrical issues that needed to be taken care. He had to spend over 13 hours and in very hot conditions, to correct the sloppy and careless work from whoever the previous owner had do lighting work when they remodeled. They had left live wires and junction boxes open. I initially was only getting a ceiling fan with a light installed from scratch until he showed me pictures of the wiring for all lights on the 1st floor in my crawl space attic.
James , did a great job . I highly recommend Haller.

Complimenting Haller's tech Jonathan Avila who has provided installation and maintenance services for my buildings many times. His concern for customer needs is evident right from the start. He wants to know how you think your system is doing. His work is very thorough backed up by photos of each thing he found that needed attention. I had an appointment mid visit

I was able to review and understand his work later w/ the photos attached to my digital receipt.

Common Signs You Need a New Heat Pump

Heat pumps are durable, but they don’t last forever.

Understanding the signs that your system is aging or underperforming can help you avoid costly repairs and ensure your home stays comfortable.

If some rooms feel warmer or cooler than others, your heat pump may be struggling to distribute air effectively. This can be caused by an aging unit, clogged filters, or ductwork issues. Addressing these problems early helps restore even comfort throughout your home.

An unexpected increase in your monthly energy bills can signal that your heat pump is losing efficiency. Older systems may work harder to maintain the desired temperature, causing them to consume more electricity. Replacing or servicing your system can reduce costs and improve performance.

If you find yourself calling for frequent service visits, it may be more cost-effective to replace the system. A new heat pump can reduce downtime, prevent repeated breakdowns, and improve overall reliability.

Heat pumps typically last 10 to 15 years, depending on usage and maintenance. Once your system reaches this age range, it may be time to consider an upgrade to enjoy better efficiency, advanced features, and fewer repair needs.

Benefits of Installing a Heat Pump

Freezing mornings in January, humid afternoons in July. Your home needs to handle it all.

A heat pump gives you one system that works year-round to keep your space comfortable. At Haller, we install heat pumps designed to perform reliably in Pennsylvania’s changing climate.

A heat pump isn’t just a heater or just an AC. It does both. In the winter, heat pump heating works by pulling warmth from the outdoor air and bringing it inside. In the summer, it reverses the process to remove heat from your home. Instead of maintaining two separate systems, you get efficient comfort from one streamlined setup.

Because heat pumps move heat instead of creating it, they use less energy than many traditional systems. That efficiency really pays off during Pennsylvania’s milder spring and fall months when the system doesn’t have to work as hard. Many homeowners notice more manageable utility bills and more predictable energy costs throughout the year.

Heat pumps are known for delivering consistent, even temperatures. You’re less likely to deal with dramatic temperature swings or rooms that never quite feel right. With proper sizing and professional installation from Haller, your system can provide reliable warmth during cold snaps and dependable cooling during humid summer stretches.

Heat Pump Installation FAQs

How long does a heat pump last?

Most heat pumps operate efficiently for 10 to 15 years with proper maintenance. Regular servicing helps extend their lifespan and keeps energy costs low.

Can a heat pump work in very cold weather?

Yes. Modern heat pumps are designed to operate efficiently even in colder climates. Some models include supplemental heating to maintain warmth when outdoor temperatures drop significantly.

How do I know if my heat pump needs replacement?

Signs include uneven temperatures, rising energy bills, unusual noises, frequent repairs, or an older system. Timely replacement ensures reliable comfort and efficiency.

Are heat pumps energy efficient?

Heat pumps are among the most energy-efficient heating and cooling systems available. They move heat rather than generating it, which can significantly reduce electricity use compared to traditional HVAC systems.
